Wayside Adhesives have been taking part in UK motorsport since 2004.

We started in MG Maestro's, then moved to an MG Midget and over the past few years, we have raced the Mini pictured, a Porsche Boxster and currently race the trusty MG Midget and two MG ZR's.

The cars are mostly always branded in our trademark Wayside orange and black, or in the case of the race ZR, in Green/Black to promote one of our brands - T-Reps. We race at the UK's most popular race tracks.

We have been very lucky to have some great successes over the years, picking up many race wins and championships and we are looking forward to another successful season!

We are also nurturing young racing talent, supporting Chase and Beau in their Motorsport endeavours, which you can read about below.

2023 OVERALL MG CHAMPION!

WILL SHARPE

Will started racing MG's in 2003, when we started in the MGOC.

Will has raced Maestro's, ZR's, MGF's and his prized MG Midget from 1966.

Since 2003, Will has won class championships in his Maestro, ZR and 3 times in the Midget.

In October 2023, he sealed the Overall MG Championship, racing his Midget at the final race at Pembrey.

He also has a Modsport Midget which he takes out at certain historic events.

HEN SHARPE

Hen started racing at the same time as his Brother, Will, in 2003.

He originally shared the 1st Maestro they raced, together with their Father, Andy.

Hen went on to race the Maestro for numerous seasons, before moving to Porsches in 2013, where he went on to win 9 races on the trot and narrowly miss out on the championship, then moving back to MG's to an MGF, ZR and latterly an MG Montego, for some outings.

In 2017, Hen took a sabbatical from racing to focus his efforts on his Son, Chase.

With Chase testing for 2024, in readiness for an assault on the MG Hillclimb Series, it has freed Hen up to have some racing in the team ZR for 2024.

ED SHARPE

Eddie started Karting at a young age, before moving on to racing the MG Midget in 2014 for a season. He got some great results in his first year racing, including many podiums.

Even though 2024 marks his first time back in a race car for 10 years, in the build up to this, he has completed many trackways, inc the Nurburgring, piloting his BMW E36 Coupe - 2.8 litre.

Eddie is very much looking forward to getting back to the race track in the ZR.

CHASE SHARPE

We are also nurturing young talent, with our support of Chase Sharpe.

Chase, 10, started karting on his 6th birthday.

He has raced in various karting championships and competed in the high profile Daniel Ricciardo Series. He won the UK Kart Series Championship driving his Synergy Honda Cadet Extreme in 2022, along with the UK Plate and then another UK Plate in Junior Prokarts.

He has now made the move to the MG mark, ready to join the world of Hillclimbing and Sprints with the MG Speed Championship. He will be testing in his car during 2024, ready for a full assault in 2025.

We wish Chase the best of luck in the season ahead. You can find out more about Chase by visiting his website here - www.ChaseSharpe.com
